Multiple Database Engines
Many businesses choose to offload important services like databases to a separate server away from their production servers.
This is a great way to introduce added security before any information in your database is accessed. Plus, if your production server was the target of an attack and someone did get access, no personal information would be stored there. That's a plus for security.
Database servers are a priority service, which means they must be online all of the time. When you order a managed database cluster you are provided with a database login that is immediately replicated to a backup server. At all times, two copies of your information are stored. Should your production server go down, the redundant server automatically and instantly takes over allowing us to repair the damaged server.
With eight locations around the world, we have a home for every database.
Your database should be as close to your production server as possible. The further away the database server is, the longer it will take to fulfil database requests. You can place database clusters in the United Kingdom, Amsterdam, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Bangalore, Toronto and Frankfurt.
